It all started with a stubborn drive to get the job done, and a firefighter with a tight wallet. With minimal leather experience and very little money in my pocket. Assigned to a truck company, I quickly realized the burden every tool I needed to carry. I started looking at truck belts. Instead of buying one, I decided I’d make my own. That first belt lit a spark. I began building pieces for myself, testing ideas, finding things that worked, and plenty that didn’t. Before long, other firefighters began asking me to craft gear for them. What started as a small personal project grew into a passion. In early 2025, Get Salty Leatherworks officially came to life, and it’s been growing ever since. Now we craft premium, dependable leather gear that supports the men and women of the emergency services. We combine time-honored craftsmanship with real-world experience to create gear that stands up to the toughest conditions. Delivering durability, and pride in every piece.
